First thing you need is a goal. Without one your flying blind. It would be silly to buy a turbo that you don't really need and end up with a costly setup that may not suit your needs. Example buying a large turbo that makes big hp but has poor drivability and it being a daily driver. Its more then just buying parts, its buying the right parts.
Even though a 35 series is good for ~600 hp and its only $100 more than the 28 series, that doesnt make it a better deal.
You have to consider where you want your power band and how much you want to spend.
If you go gt35 you'll be spending around $10,000 to make that car daily drivable. Because on stock displacement and revving it out to stock redline you'll get maybe a 1000rpm powerband. Realistically you'll need to bore and stroke it to a 2.0 and build the head to really be able to use a 35 series on our cars.
My advice would be decide how much horsepower you want and where you want your powerband to be and then choose a turbo from there.
