Default Aftermarket flex pipe broken

I have a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro, manual trans.

I have a millitek exhaust that runs from the cat back. Recently the flex pipe started leaking. (I'm kinda pissed since its a $1000 exhaust system and after a little more than a year the flex pipe went).

I took it to the local muffler place but they don't carry the universal flex pipe that they would normally just weld in due to the larger diameter of my exhaust. The only thing that would have fit is one from a huge truck, which was way too long.

They quoted me $140 for the job, but I have found that I can get a stock down pipe for around that.

Does anyone know if you can order just the down pipe but in 2.75" diameter? Doesn't matter who makes it. Links would be great

If I just replaced it with a stock downpipe, how ,uch would this affect performance (keep in mind that the rest of the exhaust is 2.75" and that I will also be putting in a test pipe)?

id call milltek and see if they would replace it... mine never broke and i had it in there for like 4 years. otherwise, id take it to another exhaust shop that might have a better selection and better pricing.
