Air Bag

Default Air Bag


Recently my air bag light came on, dont really know if it going to turn off or not but is there any way to kill it or what? I think it happened when I as parked on a steeeeeep hill i dont knw if thats the issue or not but thats when i realized it.. Let me know.

Scan the ECU (AutoZone will do it free) and find out what airbag is tripping the light. If it's a seat bag, chances are the seat was put back too far and strained the connector. If you push the connector back in and zip-tie it tightly, you should be able to then turn off the light and have it stay off. The connector is the yellow one under the front of the seat. But without VagCom (the diagnostic software), you won't be able to reset the light - a battery disconnect won't do it.
