air conditoning problem

Default air conditoning problem

okay so i have a little problem with my air conditioning. whenever outside gets hotter than 85 the ECON light goes on and my air conditioning does not work even if i turn it off it still blows the hot air did any of you had this problem? if you did please help me out because its 95 outside and i have to drive without air conditioning! Thanks !!!

What year is your car? Im sure it runs on 134a as my old 96 neon did. Try getting a recharge kit for it you might be out of refrigerant.

its 2000 1.8t quattro. see i did that like a month ago because it started not to blow that cold air. but now its just like in the morning when it was about 77-80 it worked perfectly fine and it blew really cold air. could it be just the electric system?

It could possibly be a bad A/C compressor clutch relay that is affected intermittently by heat.

ok so i found the problem. i put too much refrigerant and thats why it didnt work. thank for all advices!

Aha. Glad you fixed the problem, but noting that you have recently recharged the system would have been useful knowledge for us to try and help.
