air filter..2 min job..NOT

Default air filter..2 min job..NOT
I can't remove mine..I mean I can but its tough..I'm sorta pulling it out n I'm thinking about how would I get the new one inn..I got a 1.8t AEB 1999.Do I have to remove that big hose...the hanes manual is a big FAIL on this DIY..

I got the 4 clips off...so do I just yank it out n yank it back inn...or is there something I am missing..

Uh, did you remove the accordion-type hose that goes from filter box to the throttle body? One screw and you're good.

how about the heat shield? did you unbolt that? remove/unplug the wiring harnesses?
