Ok i am at the end. I have a 99.5 a4 2.8 and the alarm goes off every morning at around 6:30. I know it sounds crazy but its like it has a mind of its own. And it doesnt just go off once, it goes off every 15 min after that until i get up go outside and turn the key. Then it MIGHT stop.

Every morning the same thing. I have no clue what to do.

any suggestions? its killing me.

 

anything would help. I am in the process of buying a vagcom to see if i can lower the sensitivity but until then any suggestions and also does anyone know the steps to using the vag com to lower it or a website or any info.

 

I remember a thread a while back about someone complaining about the same thing. Alarm going off like clockwork. Once you get vag com you can scan the imobilizer for fault codes.

 

shouldn't there be a fuse you can pull to turn the alarm off? i dunno if you want to do that .. but that is a way to turn it off :/

lol....yeah thanks. i cant wait to get the vag com...my neighbor came knocking at my door like the police at 6 in the morn complaining...like i can do something about it.

the other day at my house i was browsing through AF and my alarm went off.... it was just sitting in my driveway with the windows down i remembered so i ran out as fast as i could and no one was anywhere near and i dont live anywhere near a type of neighboorhood where anyone would touch my car for any reason so it made me wonder wtf happened?

i shut it off and a half hour later it happened again lol... but hasnt happened since and never went off before but and i looked outside instantly when it went off and there was no one anywhere so if you find the problem let me know id like to have it not go off like that

 

had the same prob on my o1 a4 avant, i just disconnected the alarm horn so i didn't have to listen to it anymore, never figured out why it did that???
