I found a whole thread about it over at autopia, I'm definitely going to give it a try. http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-det...0-product.html

Do you have info you could hook me up with for door handle paint?

My door handle looks like a wolverine was chewing the paint off.

Thanks.

It's called SEM Color Coat. I have yet to try it, I'm going to order it when I get some more time to dedicate to it.

SEM Color Coat rocks. Click my screenname and check my post history - you'll find a thread from a few weeks ago I posted titled "An interior project I finished recently on my A4". I have pics in there of my results using it to dye my seats two-tone. The stuff is great. I have black leather and did the centers in Warm Gray. I also used the Satin Black to dye my visors, oh-sh*t handles, and B/C pillars in preparation for my black suede headliner. I'm a huge fan of the stuff.

Right on, thanks for the link. I've heard about that stuff before but have never used it or seen it used. Your seats look perfect. You did a damn good job.

This will make a good late summer project for me to fix the doors and cure all the ugly chipping.

Thanks man I'm really thrilled with how they came out. The stuff is super easy to use - it coats well (use light to moderate coats), sets up really fast, and has proven to be really durable. Just make sure you clean anything you spray really well - any cleaning or shine chemicals will screw up the finish. It is thick enough to fill surface scratches too. You also need to be extremely careful and thorough in masking everything you don't want to spray since it sets up so fast. By the time you realize there's overspray it'll be way too late to get it off. Take your time and you'll be fine. You'll love it
