I have a few questions about alternators. Would a alternator from a 98 AEB fit a 2001 AWM? I ask this because my alternator has a bad bearing and my local alternator rebuilder is trying to rip me off and charge me 120$ to change a damn bearing and the local pick n pull has a nice b5 sitting there. Also, would it.be.ok too put in a 90 amp alternator? Im not sure if mine has a 120 or 90 amp, because if all else fails i can buy a new bosch 90 amp alternator for 160.
