Default Antenna location

Guys just a quick question.. I own an Audi a4 b5 Turbo Quattro AJL and I cant find either my radio antenna or my lock antenna! I looked under my seat for a black box but there isnt one! Can anyone point me a the location of these antennas?

In order to unlock my car I need to be 3 meters away from it with both car battery and key **** to full!

And my radio signal is weak....especially when I turn the rear window heat on!

Common problem on B5's, the receiver for the keyless entry is under the back seat. You can extend the antenna wire to extend the range a little bit. I believe there's a DIY floating around for that.

The radio antenna is in the rear window glass

but there isn't a black box under the seat...... there are some posts that say it might be behind the left rear wheel...all I see there is a black thick thing....maybe it has the small antenna cable in it? or I will end up cutting a fuel line or something! lol

Audi area: Audi A4 (B5). Keyless Entry Replacement ('96 A4)

That explains where the box is. The antenna is apparently in the passenger's side rear wheel well, which I did not know. Found that info here:

Finally did the keyless entry antenna mod

On my 99 sedan the keyless antenna was in the passenger side C pillar.
