Default Any help would be highly appreciated....

i Have a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro , Manual

Can anyone answer these questions?? I have tried searchiing the net but have come up with nothing. yet.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

4. What type of ignition system does your car run- where is the crank
angle sensor (CAS) or distributor trigger wheel and what type is it
(Optical/LED Sensor? Hall Sensor? VR Sensor?)

5. How many teeth/windows/slots and what orientation does the CAS, crank
trigger, and/or distributor wheel have? (any missing? all evenly spaced?)

7. Does this engine have a fast idle valve (IAC)? If so, how many wires
are connected to it? Do you know if it is an on/off, pulse width
modulated, thermal, or stepper type?

I know all the answers to this but its not appropriate to modern cars because your integrating old with new and it doesnt work like that

Ive never installed an aftermarket ECU before and thought it would be better getting a megasquirt
ecu over a chip because i want to go BT later on. So i was asked a few questions but could not answer these ones. Il give the guy a call and see what he is on about. If you have any comments on Megasquirt Ecu then please do give your input....

You can't build a car then. You can build half a car, like a Ford, where brakes and steering is optional.
