Any way to run a b5 a4 AEB mafless?
As the title says, is there any way to run a pre 2000 a4 AEB mafless? if so what tune are you using to do so?
I am running my gt28 eliminator kit with 630cc injectors with a 3.5" maf from a 4.2 liter a8/a6. I would like to go mafless just because ive heard that these mafs do die out and i dont want to be stuck buying a new maf every couple months.

...which then you'll have to drill and tap a location to mount the MAP as well. The MAF isn't prone to dying like coil packs. Run with it and pick up a spare to have on hand in case it goes and you'll be fine.
Not sure where you've heard that, but I've had two B5's with a total of 430,000 miles, and never had a MAF go bad.
I have an AWM and am running MAFless with Unitronic's 630cc BT tune. That being said, my car is an '01 and i'm pretty sure the AWM is the only motor that is able to run MAFless. and just FYI, I have had 2 MAFs die.
because our cars are newer and have the MAP, thats why our cars can run without the mafs.
i just clean mine once in a while with rubbing alcohol... never had a problem. never seen one die in my history of audi/vw lol.. my ex's jetta, the dealer said it was dead. rubbing alcohol, 4 years later, still works fine.
ive already had one go bad on me, this is the reason why i want to check my options with a standalone system which would enable me to go mafless, i think im going to start another thread on what standalone system people prefer(if there are any options at all) and how they feel about their set up
