Anyone sold their OEM Cat?

Maybe the guy thought it was stolen. Converter theft has become an issue in many areas. Or maybe he was dumb or trying to rip you off. Who knows? Either way, problem averted by not selling it to him. Find someone else.

It used to be a standard of about $25 bucks for a used, old cat. Platinum, Palladium, and Rhodium, all of which are used in a cat, are now ridiculously high, so I would imagine that scrap prices have gone up.

Yeah that's what I thought. He just look at it and told me there was just stainless steel inside. Doesn't make much sense. Problem averted is correct by not selling it to him. A part of me wants to make the trip back up to give him a piece of my mind.

When gas prices drop, I'll head back over there.
