Default Anyone try using Crutchfield speaker adapters for aftermarket speakers?

I'm curious about these:

Any of you guys ever try them? I went through the first 6475664338 customer reviews on their site but didn't find anyone saying they'd used them in a B5. Anyone use them?

Yeah I don't have the time to build brackets. I know these are definitely a quick solution. I'm wondering if they actually mount up in an A4 - I should've elaborated in the first post. A lot of people used them and had to modify them, sometimes extensively, to make them work. I'm curious how direct a drop-in they are.

They look like they will fit but who knows. I tend to stay away from crutchfield dude to them being over priced. For 10 bucks tho give them a shot. If you dont have time to build brackets this is the solution. What are you using now?

Yeah I'll probably just order two sets and do the deck and front doors. I mocked up a quick mounting baffle for each of them but I still get some buzz and vibration so I'll just get these and report back.

I used these, but it only adapts to 5 1/4" speakers.

They work fine. Cheap and easy, not worth my time to make brackets and I got them quickly

Villa, I hear you. I have too much on my plate any day of the week to be able to really spend time working on the car. JBJ, I dumped the Bose system years ago and went with 4" RF speakers up front and 6.5" JVCs in the deck lid. I just want a better mounting setup for them.

i got the crutchfield ones a while back. from what i remember it didnt fit on there perfectly. you may have to drill your own holes to get it to fit the best. but i do believe they are pretty much the best for the price

I've got a pair of Kicker 4" speakers in my garage, complete with home-made adapter brackets (replaced by 5.25" speakers with Autoleads adapter brackets). I could let them go pretty cheap
