hi i called a shop over in canoga park about chipping my 04 audi a4 1.8t and he told me that i would get a 65hp boost. this is for an apr chip. ive never heard more than a 35-40 hp for this chip. is he just pulling my chain?

Yes, he's pulling your chain. Unless your car came with 150hp bone stock. And for an '04, I don't think that's very likely, considering the K03s was utilized after 2001, thus boosting the stock HP levels closer to 170

 

The k03s doesn't have much to do with the hp bump in o1. It just has more aggressive fuel maping, etc. +65 hp sounds exagerated for sure.

 

Right. But it still had something to do with the increase in power!

+65hp for just a chip is a bold statement, considering that figure would be probable with bigger injectors / a more aggressive profile, but not with a regular chip...

 

I have an 03 a4, and i have the apr chip, noticeable difference, butnot 65hp, more 45-50
