Default Arm Rest/Center Console for my 97

My 97 A4 doesn't have an arm rest/center console found in the later model B5s. Is it possible to retrofit these? If I find just the arm rest, will it fit onto the current center console I have in my 97? Or would I have to get the whole assembly for it? Also, where's the best place to get this (besides eBay)?

Thanks in advance!!

There was never a year when there wasn't a center armreset console; someone probably removed yours. Check the classifieds here on AF for any parts cars and get one that way.

You should take a pic of the one you have. Ive never looked to see if you can replace just the armrest, but it would probably be easier to find the whole assembly, since the one you have doesnt look like its ever had one. The center console with the arm rest has two bolts under the rear ashtray one under the cup holders and the two screws that go into the side of it at the shift lever.. if youve got those you could get a new console with an armrest.. Thats weird idk why they wouldnt put one on id like to see a pic of that.

some cars never came with armrests, heres the "write up" if u wanna call it that.
you can buy mine if you want, all you need is a lid, lids cost 118 bucks new.
the lid stiching came off, and the idiot i sent the lid to decided to lets say "make a new one" and kinda destroyed it.

I have one for sale if you want it. Unfortunately it's quite big so it would cost probably a few bucks to ship it to you.

I'd take that in a heartbeat...but my interior is black! Damn...unless I paint it....

how much do you think it'll cost to ship? I'm in Orange County...

my 97 a4 doesn't have one too, they did that in 97 for a lot of the sport package a4s with cloth, you probably have the same satin Jacquard sport seats as me they are black with diagonal 1/4"ish stipes.
