audi 1.8tq few recent issues.
Found oil in my exhaust tip this morning blew smoke for like a minute nothing serious about one minute. Let it warm up and then it just died. Starts back up fine.
My questions are:
What causes oil to travel there?
Is it serious?
Why did it stall?
Thr car shakes around 60 slightly i think its tires replaced them wit used tires about two months ago.
Any questions ill answer as soon as possible.
Thnx

Hi Pat,
Was the smoke coming out of the tailpipe blue, black or white?
Are you sure it was oil on the tail pipe? I was just thinking that perhaps the car was running too rich at the beginning and that killed it. Maybe a sign of a bad coolant temperature sensor.
Have the spark plugs been changed lately? Are they clean and in good condition? Are they gapped correctly(.032")?
If your engine is burning oil, that could be more serious. Has it ever done this before? Is your Check Engine Light on?
Has the fuel filter ever been changed? That may contribute to the stalling, but in this case it sounds more like your car was flooded and that made it stall.
Is the shaking at 60mph felt through the steering wheel only? Does the shaking only occur within a certain speed range, like 60-65mph? If so, it's probably a tire out balance, or out of round.
