Contrary to popular belief, mods don't add value to a car, thats the logic. See my other post for why. Sure, that's ten grand of mods you wouldn't have to foot yourself, but like I said in the other post, internals are going to start crapping out on you, and that FWD car is going to spend more time in the shop or dead in your driveway than it will on the road, and the cost of replacing said internals, combined with the headache of having a very expensive, large, driveway ornament, will drive you insane and make you wish you hadn't bought the car in the first place. Believe me, I've seen it happen before.

I would be wary about buying a car with 10G's worth of mods for 5G's. Seems to me the owner wants to get rid of this car asap and is not disclosing the whole truth. Plus, I agree with pretty much everyone on here that I would pass on this FWD and buy a Quattro I know has not been abused.

Yes, it is better to buy a STOCK quattro that a modded FrontTrak... Quattro is literally a must on Audis. A MUST.

All those mods were pretty much a bolt on, anyone can do them. Its better to mod your car yourself to A make it personal and B make sure its right. If you look you can find on way cheaper than 5k i paid 2 for my quattro and 12 for a fwd. Take your time and look an Audi without quattro is just meh

Yeah I think I'm gonna pass. I really like it and it drives awesome, but with my luck it'll blow the motor in a week, and I really want a quattro. I've looked and looked in central texas but haven't really found a deal.

If it passes the shop's inspection, then i say buy it.... F these guys. There are plenty of people out there that love their modded Passat's. Do what you please, not what these guys think.
On another note, FWD really does suck lol. But I'd rock the car in question as a DD or somn if the price was right.
