I was just wondering if anyone can help. I have a 1996 Audi A4 automatic that jerks when changing from 1st to 2nd, it also does it when you stop and you have to wait for it to jerk so you can accelerate again. When the car is cold it's even worst and will rev alot before changing up gears.

 

I'd say you need to top off your transmission fluid,worst case scenario is your transmission is going and needs to be replaced. or your Transmission control module is malfunctioning,go to autozone and have them run a check on it,opps..sorry autozone only runs scans on cars that have a check engine light.

Have a mechanic scan it for codes.
