don't worry about the clutch. on the dirt that won't be a problem. i assume you bought a 17 year old car to have fun with it off road. I is a german rig and it will hold up better in the woods than many, because, even if you are driving down the interstate, something will fail. and mechanical failures are not common due to bumps and drifting. Our cars develop faults because.....................well, I'm not sure. Sun spots?
