Audi a4 engine and transmission swap

I have a 2001 Audi a4 avant Quattro 2.8l with a bad engine and transmission. I would like to do either a 1.8t or possibly a 2.7t? I would like to know if it would be difficult to do? Thanks everyone

It would be much easier to swap with what you have. If you want a different engine/transmission get another car , you will be much better off them trying to get the electronics right. These cars are not 85 Chevys.
