A Jetta shares the same platform with the Golf (the A platform), while the A4 and the Passat are sitting on the B platform (hence the B5 and B6) so the ONLY similar component between a Jetta and the A4 is the 1.8TOriginally Posted by deucex

now, whether BMW, MB or Audi is better is everyones personal preference. MB has the best luxury, but it doesnt come with stickshift at all. Audi has the quattro, can be sporty, and it has some luxuries. Same for BMW except that it comes standart with RWD, as opposed to Audi's FWD, which is more sporty and BMW has more power with the inline V6 which is also an extremely smooth and well engineered engine.<edited><editID>Firestarter1984</editID><editDate>38052.8255555556</editDate></edited>

If I didn't need a car that handled nice in the winter.. I'd get a BMW 3 series coupe. Since Audi offers the best rated AWD system and I live in Central Iowa... the A4 is a healthy choice for myself.</P>
As for the MBZ.. I cannot afford one of dem!</P><edited><editID>ArkAngl</editID><editDate>38053.5851157407</editDate></edited>
