Angry audi just took a **** on itself last week...so i need to vent!

By the way its 2 degrees F outside...without any snow on the ground this is bullshit. so the a4 is now deciding that when it gets real cold outside the first time you shift from first to second it grinds like no other and then is fine after that for the rest of the day, my greddy tt **** all over itself and doesn't work... again. the light in my boost gauge went out, my exhaust flex pipe said **** you and now has a nice hole in it... witch by the way sounds great. the right back sub needs glued back on(at least I'm hoping that's all that it needs) and to top everything off Friday it rains like crazy, i go and open the back door on the driver side and the seat is wet from some leak god knows where around the door...So needless to say Christmas break will be spent in my garage with beer and a heater having a grand old time!

that was exhilarating

but on a good note i did win 65 dollers in poker tonight so im pretty pumped about that. lol

Sorry to hear that man, sounds familiar though. It seems like with car maintenance especially, when it rains-it pours.

On a side note, I noticed that mine doesn't like the cold very much either. The P/S pump whines until the car warms up, the synchros act up because the gear oil gets like pudding, and the electronics get touchy. (I have one of those organic LCD screens with a bajillion colors, those REALLY don't like the cold) Must be a sign from the car gods that I need to move south lol.

haha yea.. i get alot more obscure nooises in the extreme cold.. the car always starts easy even below zero.. the heat kinda makes a weird wheezy noise til the car warms up.. also any bodies gear shifter make noise? like when its cold a constant whine? it always goes away after warming up but.. kinda weird.. does it only once in a while.. but right now the most annoying thing is my brakes had/have snow in them.. and when you really go to slow down they bump and dont work.. so i try and use them as much as possible to clean them out and melt the ****.. hopefully this snow will slow down.. i call my car Sherman the tank.. these things are Diesel in the snow..

that happened to me today, i was in a rush.. didn't let the car heat up long enough and i heard a huge POP when shifting from first to second for the second time after backing out of the driveway... afterward it seemed ok. I still am kinda freaked out about it

^ thats because when the car is warming up, it dumps more fuel into the engine.

I understand that the stuff has to get warm for it to work correctly, i was merely trying to reassure the OP that it was normal.

thank you and i will never do that again... i'd rather be late. unless it's something REALLY important.

Then of course I'd have one of my friends hit me with my own car to teach me a lesson

But man I know how you feel, It seems like I've been trying to fix my car for the past month. Car maintenance sucks!
