yep i got one too, although my dad wants to claim it but the thing is that i was the one who ended up rebuilding the engine and im not sure that he kept all teh recipts.

hmm i should watch for a letter, just in case.

however i have NO problems with my car, bought at 92k(have about 96k now)
though i don't have any records =/
plus i personally take good care of my car.

 

well i got the sluge removed, and it feels so strong, it no longer has a slugish start. so this is how awd feels like. lucky i did keep all the recipts for every oil related job, it rounded up to $657.95.

I have 1998.5 2.8, should i expect a letter, are 2.8's included in eligibility?

 

not sure if the 2.8 are included, mine just said "the 1.8t is prone to oil sludge do to poor oil services"

 

I am the second owner of mine however I am still in touch with the 1st. I got the letter about a month before him but have since given him all the records(he paid for the turbo to be rebuilt because of sludge and improper cooling of he turbo). He expects a full reimbursement of around 3xxx
