so i recently got a 01 a4 1.8t quattro. only problem is the car wont go into park. when the shifter is in the park location, and my dash shows park as well, the car is actually in reverse. so in reverse im actually in nuetral. etc...

any ideas what this could be from? im not familar with audi, however im assuming this would be as simple as adjusting the shift linkage. but have not yet jacked up the car, and wanted to get yalls 2 cents before doing so.
