But they're SOOOO cheap! At least the ones on the coolant lines at the reservoir are easy to get off though.

The squeeze clamps are great, even if they're a pain sometimes. The one time clamps ARE a pain in the sack but think about it - they're WAY less likely to break, slip, let go, or fail than about anything else. That being said, I certainly agreed with Erik last Saturday on Emil's car after we had to cut off about the 25th one of those sons of bitches.

Yeah, my Audi has been more needy than a lot of my other cars, but that's 'cause I don't buy domestics, lol.

AWD in the winter is fantastic and there's not a lot that's comparable for the same year. There's not a lot of cars this old where people still think it's fairly new.

My sig is for the accountants that run Audi: less cheap plastic parts please!

I luvre my car, but...

someone used to have in their signature here:

"Audis are like strippers. They won't work unless you throw money at them."

or something close to that.

I always felt that it was appropriate.

VW/Audi cars are not Toyota/Honda reliable, but they do offer an unparalleled driving experience, superbly enduring styling, and safety.

At least two of you in this thread are avant/variant/estate/wagon owners, and you all know how few options we have in this configuration in the U.S. (To their credit, Honda's Acura division and Toyota's Prius division are both launching wagons, right as VW is pulling the plug on the Passat wagon.) Our B5 generation A4 based 2001 Passat wagon has been the perfect car for us. We recently passed the 10-year mark and hope to keep it another 10 years. Likewise, my 1996 Audi A4 just passed smog and got new updated headlights, and I hope to get at least 5 more years of service from it.

I think I fixed the alarm issue, although my speedo cluster is being redone in Moscow Idaho currently. I hope I don't have any major issues with the car from now on.

Well I have had my audi for 1 month and had to replace the right rear door latch, digital display, and now after replacing the gauge cluster my engine light is on. Looks like I'm gonna have to sell the audi. IT's like a never ending cascade of problems. Who knows what the engine light surprise is??
