Skip it. Tube manifolds should never be made of standard SS pipe.

Default UPS droped off some goodies yesterday!

Got the Autobahn88 FMIC, manifold, airfilter and Forge style BOV...
I must say it's super quality! Haven't installed it yet...

I had some silicone elbows from them on my old RX-7. Fitment was not what I had hoped for but they did the job just fine when you trimmed them a bit. The elbows were kind of just like generic 90* elbows and were sold to be for the car which they really were not. I don't know how the rest of there stuff is but from what I have read its always iffy to get manifolds from unknown brands.

audicoupe, if you can, post pics after the install. ive been debating whether or not to try out that fmic kit so hopefully you can provide some insight on fitment and changes in performance. it seems like a quality kit but ive never read a first hand review on it.

On turbo-mopar.com we had a big debate whether it was worth it going from a log style manifold to a tube style header. We all pretty much came to the conclusion, for the money, a tube style header wasn't really worth it unless you were already making crazy hp (over 500hp). And even still then, the guys with the fastest turbo dodges still thought the log style manifold was better. Andre' has an 8 sec 87 turbo dodge along with a few other peoples 9-10 second 80's turbo dodges thought the header was a waste. But those are the guys that also really knew how to tune their cars.

Sure I've got over 500hp... or maybe more like 240 but I'll try it!
I'll snap some pics of the install when I get to it probably some time next week!
This far everything looks great, all the welds look good and so on. And also all the required pipes and siliconepasrts was included in the package!

Well you have to compare the 2 using a true equal length tube manifold. The manifold up above is not a equal length manifold, but more just like a standard log manifold design.

Here is something for you to read, this is real world testing of a log manifold vs a real equal length tube manifold.

im not saying that a tube header isn't better, just saying that for the money on a turbo car unless your making crazy power, you might just be better off with a log style header money wise...

V6, this guy tried that same tube manifold back in 2005.

Look at what he has to say about it not long after putting it on.

thinking about it more, I am not sure how much air these 20v heads move, but on the crappy 8v heads on a turbo mopar the tube header wasn't worth much compared to turbosunleashed.com log manifold. Any one know what cfm these 20v heads do? How much cfm was lost when they changed the ports in 99 or 2000?
