I removed the 2.8L auto transmission from my car, all except the shifter assembly. I'm pretty sure I need to remove the radio/center console to remove the shifter assy. I removed the shift **** and trim piece underneath it but from the looks of it I have to get down a little further.

I have to pull that forward console don't I??

Also, any tips on installing this transmission with the proper angle? I had to tilt it DRASTICALLY towards the passenger side to get it out... A little different from my 1.8L
