Auxillary Fan not working?
#12
The fan temperature switch is separate from the coolant temperature sender for the ECU and instrument cluster. The fan switch looks similar and is located in the lower radiator hose, just behind the radiator.
If the fuse is good, I would think that the temp switch is okay because the A/C head-unit can override the switch signal and turn on the fan when the car is stationary. You can test the switch by unplugging it and jumpering the pins in the harness, which should turn the fan on if the control unit is okay.

I can see a sending unit, I think, just above the lower radiator hose, driver's side, with 3 wires coming out of it. A brown, a brown/black and a red/white. I get no power to the controller side of the pin plug when the AC is on.
Any suggestions? If that is the fan switch do I need to drain the radiator to get it swapped out?

To swap out the switch, you will have to drain the radiator. It's not too bad with the drain valve on the lower driver's side.
I don't think that your test of the switch is conclusive that the switch is bad. Remember that the switch is only there to supplement the clutch fan if the car gets hot enough. The A/C head unit can bypass the switch and turn on the fan for sitting in traffic.
A better test would be to jumper the switch and see if the fan controller turns the fan on. Run a wire from the red/white to the brown. With the ignition on, the fan should run if the fan controller is okay.
Not my pic, but useful.

Auxillary fan switch
Okay, here are the results of the testing. Auxillary fan.
Relay #373 is good
Fan runs on 12v.
Jumper on red/white to brown energizes the fan.
Fan switch must be bad.
Thanks for all the help bshusted!

No interior lights at all
Okay, so totally off the topic and I will post a new thread but I got everything buttoned up and now I have no interior lights at all. None overhead and no dash light until I turn the key. Is there a connection between the aux fan and interior lights?
