As the title states I have a b5 a4 and I need an ac compressor. I've done some research and apparently there are two different compressors that can fit on the engine. In not sure which one to get as they both use different brackets...will either fit on my b5 with their specific brackets? Can I mix and match brackets and compressors? What are the differences between the nexel compressor and the nippo whatever compressor?

 

Is it a 96? There is a specific 1996 VIN number break where the compressors changed from one manufacturer to another. Its in this thread:
