Default b5 A4 stereo overhaul help...

alright check it out, i have a 2000 audi A4 1.8TQ with the bose stereo system. i have been without my rear deck speakers for a long time now, they blew, so i unplugged them. my front speakers are starting to go now. i am getting ready to purchase an aftermarket HU, specifically the Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT.

My question is what is it going to take to overhaul my stereo system?? can i just simply buy new speakers with the new the Pioneer HU and everything will be hunky dorey? or am i going to have to bypass the amp? or will i have to replace the amp?

What i want overall out this, is all brand new speakers that are going to work flawlessly with the new HU.

All help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks

are you sure your deck speakers blew? a lot of the time it's just the dust cover that comes loose and rattles like a maniac. just super glue it back on. if you're going with a new HU, ditch the old amp and get a new one. the new speakers will work fine with the new HU but make sure the speakers physically fit.

i could do a whole long *** right up, but i wont. yes you can use the aftermarket with your stock amp. you need an amp intregration harness. its metra part 70-1787. are you doing the work yourself?

or you can just do away wit hthe amp all together by running speaker wire from the pioneer to the speakers which is what i did but i didn't have the bose system

the factory bose amp only gives out 22 watts a channel. if you are installing new speakers i recommend that you use the HU to just send down signal to the trunk where the factory amp is located but remove it and buy a nice 4 channel amp to power your new speakers throught the entire car.

FYI the factory amp has 6 speaker line outputs. front left and right, rear door left and right, and rear deck left and right. so a 4 channel replacement amp might not suit you depending on how much power your new speakers can handle.
