Default B5 AFC 2.8 oil weeping - what is this sensor?

It's pouring outside now or I'd add a pic (will followup).

This is a one wire sensor, on the lower driver's side of the block (2.8 v6). Ahead of the engine mount.
It is cylinder shaped and has one Oring on the bore and one sealing the outer bore where it butts up against the block.
Bolts on with an 11mm bolt to the block (I think, been awhile).

Dealer has been no help identifying or even clarifying where it is. Ie. exploded view fax looked like it wasn't my car.

I had hoped to be able to order the just o-rings, but might end up making some up from a kit if I can't determine what it's called...

Anyone know what sensor this is? Oil temp?

If so it works well enough, just hardened O rings weeping a mess.

i'd take it out, and go to the parts store to see if they have 0 rings to match it up. it's easier than finding what part it is and then finding its specs

My 12v has been weeping oil as well. I had the valve covers and cam plugs changed. Now to find that the oil pressure switch needs changing, this will be a cheap fix lol
