I believe the term "Bucket Seats" refer to any front seat that isn't considered a bench seat. These aren't crown vics

The red shocks indicate the lowered suspension.

The Red slash refers to the 170CHP model 1.8t.

The tip buttons on the steering wheel were added for the facelift models. Pre-facelift didn't have them.

The red slash is on all 2001 1.8T models, I believe. S-Line models also came with special 7 spoke 16" rims. The three spoke steering wheel and s-line interior was available on cars without the actual s-line package as well.

isnt it considered sports edition or s-line or w/e when the window trim is chrome instead of black?

chrome window trim indicates a 2.8 v6. easiest way of knowing if the guy going down the road is a v6 or straight 4.

Ive been wondering this same thing. Ive been trying to find my cars trim level somewhere, but to no avail. Its a 2001 quattro 2.8 ATQ 5spd. It has sport suspension, chrome window trim, wood-grain interior trim, 3spoke steering wheel with the red/chrome S-line emblem, 17" 7 spoke rs4 replica wheels. it also has the "winter package" with ski-boot and heated leather seats.

Everywhere i look, there is no trim level mentioned with said items. is this just a hodge-podge of various trim levels? or is this a "b5 s-line"? im just confused.

heres a picture of the car \/

^you have an 01 with winter and sport packages. the only other option offered that year was factory gps, which im guessing you dont have. i believe woodgrain was only offered in 2.8's as i have the same car as you, an 01 with all the options minus gps, and my interior is kinda like a carbon fiber pattern on the door trim and just black plastic on the radio. there was no s line available in b5's. people think this because of the s emblem on the sport package three spoke steering wheel i guess. its just called sport package. 01's sport package was lowered height, different shocks and springs, and sway bars (maybe more i dont know of) and cold weather package was heated seats, mirrors (i think), and ski sack (which is the stupidest thing ever imo). the sport package didnt include rs4 rims. 17 inch rs4's called celebration rims were offered(which i have with a spare ) rs4's were 18 inch and a touch different. you have b7 rs4 reps

okay that makes sense. and you're correct in the fact that i dont have GPS. Im also not sure about the heated mirrors. guess ill find out this winter. and the ski sack.... well ya its dumb. but ill admit that the first time i found out i had it, i was pretty psyched. then i realized i dont own skis. or even ski for that matter...

our cars sound pretty similar, but the interior trim in mine (door, shifter trim, etc) is all that dark colored wood grain and everything else is black.

which models came with the CD changer in the trunk? either mine didnt, or the previous owner decided to keep it. does it plug directly into the factory BOSE system?

P.S. St cloud huh? i live in Becker, went to SCSU and SCTC..
