Default Bad experience with ecs tuning

So, I ordered some exhaust parts on December 17th. Received them on Christmas Eve, only to find that the new flange nuts that I ordered were wrong. They sent me some copper ones, which for some reason (according to the guy at ECS) won't work. I explained to the guy in a calm manner how disappointing this was, considering the fact that I had already requested and was granted a day of vacation time on 12/26/08 so that I'd have plenty of time to get this job done. Obviously, not having the correct parts was a total shutdown for my plans.

The guy was nice enough, and apologized, and ordered the correct parts for me. He said that they'd ship out Monday and that I'd have them by Wednesday (today).

Turns out the parts had not shipped out on Monday, so I called ECS. ECS said that they weren't going to go out until late yesterday afternoon. So again, I explained that I had already lost one day of vacation from work, and that I desperately NEEDED to have those parts by today.

The guy (read: *******) I talked to could NOT have cared LESS.

I calmly insisted that they overnight the parts to me. Hell, I would have offered to split the cost of shipping with them, but this guy was a real piece of work and just said "no".

Now, the parts have shipped via UPS ground, and of course, UPS is only delivering Overnight Air shipments today...no ground shipments at all. So the parts are still setting at the UPS hub in Ohio.

The moral of the story is, if you're looking for good customer service from ECS Tuning, you might as well bend over and grab your ankles.

Moral of the story is if your doing a job, get the parts before you take time off of work. I've dealt with ECS before when they sent me the wrong color Samco Turbo Inlet Pipe. Took them forever, but I ended up just paying for the upgrade to the APR one. In the end everything worked out fine for me, only two weeks later.

i hate when stuff like that happens when u dont have much time to do that stuff. it is always nice to find a helpful company in those situations and i agree ecs does not do that.

ECS sucks. I've never had them mess up an order, but it always takes FOREVER.

The best in terms of price AND customer service is Speed Life. Jason will treat you right. If you don't see the part you need, email them.

Failing that, there's purems.com where the prices are better than ECS' and the shipping is quick.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Two bad experiences .

No kidding. It's amazing, if I went to UPS and asked for the slowest shipping available, it would take a 5 days to any part of the country. How the hell does ECS find 12 day shipping??

it was during christmas time i guess ups was packed and besides ECS took like 3 days to get the part to UPS. This is what i got from ECS when tried tracking my part "Product Inbound - 1 or more items on your order are in route from a local supplier. Your order will be ready for shipement in 1-3 days." plus what the UPS took to ship it, took a while. Good thing is that i got the Correct Part

http://www.speedlifemotorsport.com/

That place sucks for non performance parts - hardly anything there for OEM replacements of faulty parts

I say use Purems.com or I personal favorite Autohausaz.com
