Alright, my 2003 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro is getting like 24mpg for hwy and probably 17mpg or less for the city!?? is this normal? it's a triptonic, i've had an engine flush done, i've had the whole fuel system cleaned out, my tire pressure is good, i'm driving between 70-75 on the high way...any body here with a triptonic that is getting better mpg than me? or is it normal for me to get around 24-25mpg for hwy??

That sounds about average for a quattro. Mpg can be all over the place on our cars. City mpg seems to be the worst. If there are no codes scanned for problems and your running premium gas then heck.

 

yea like he said... b6 forums first... and second make sure u run 91 octane or better depending on your state of residence... and all AWD cars get less MPG than FWDor RWD... and it doesnt help ur an auto trans either lol

 

Another thing on top of the awd and the octane is you have a turbo. All that combined and you get..... greater fuel consumption

 

yea but the 1.8t/2.0t get better mpg than the 2.8/3.0

 

I dont know what my mpg is on my 1.8t but I do know that it eats a assload of fuel. But then again I have a birth defect. I was born with lead in my right foot.
