BAD WHEEL BEARING NEED HELP!
Hello,
I have a BAD wheel bearing and when driving today on the freeway the bad noise went away and then about 1-2 minutes later it got worse and I can hear metal rubbing from the rear passenger tire where the wheel bearing is. Is it OK to drive on this until Monday? Or should I not drive it @ all. Its a pretty bad grinding metal noise. THANKS!

make sure its the bearing and not the brakes, raise the car and check if theres play int eh wheel this will indicate wheel bearing and if its really bad dont drive it. i drove for almost 4 months on a bad bearing and it eventually went along with my ABS sensor.
I just did my rear wheel bearing. I pulled the bearing housing and took it to a shop and had them press the bearing and hub out and the new one back in. I don't know about the "wiggle the wheel" method to determine if the bearing or brakes are bad, but my rear end would change sounds as I turned the steering wheel and drifted either left or right at road speed as the stress caused the bearing to make more or less noise. That was a sure sign to me that it was the bearing. Bought the bearing at ECS Tuning.

Does the shop have to take this piece outand put the new one back in? Any shop can do this?
I'm having issues with my wheel bearings and I just want to know how much of the replacement I can do myself and how much I need a shop to do so I can plan the job a little better. Thanks!

here is the DIY for the bearing.
Yes, that is what to buy for the bearing.
All car repair shops have the ability to press bearings in and out.
