Default baro sensor, where is it?

Hello Audi community,
I need some help with my car, its an audi a4 97 1.8 with ADR engine, I recently scanned it because is having some power issues and it seems like the baro sensor (the altitude/pressure sender) is sending wrong signals.
For example I was at an altitude of 1100m when we scanned it and we were getting -31% reading, according to the mech that is about 2 or 3 times the real current height.
So first I'd like to know where this sensor is and if it can be replaced or checked somehow? as this seems to be the only thing I need to fix the car.
Thank you!

Well if you need to replace the Baro sensor I thought maybe it would be cheaper to find a used one at a junk yard if possible.

You I thought so, but I've been looking on the internet and can't find it, don't know how to look for it since apparently most cars have the sensor embedded in the ecu and you must replace it entirely. So I'll take a look at the sensor see if there's anything that can be done if not at least I'll get the part number.
Thanks anyway!

If it turns out you need to replace the entire ECU with the Baro sensor, then replace it as a whole. I wouldn't risk unsoldering things.

Cool

Well, just a note, we opened the compu box as it looks exactly like the diagram, but guess what, there is the compartment and the space but there is Nothing there, only the ecu, the side space is empty, strange thing is that there is no connector or wires left for anything, all the ecu cables are connected, nothing looks to have been left unplugged, so not sure if audi forgot to put the baro sensor in there, or if my model doesnt have it or if it is somewhere else or if it was removed and carefully left as if nothing had happened :P
I called an audi mechanic from the agency but he didnt know what I was talking about :P
Looking in etka I can't find anything under the name of baro sensor, barometric sensor, all I can find is the altitude corrector switch that goes in the manifold, but I don't my model uses it.
Still lost

Well, this is the first I've heard of it too. I thought I just hadn't run into it. Bentley (where the drawing came from) never tells you what models and/or countries use certain equipment.

So when you said:

What was reading 31% and what mech said that was too much? maybe you start with him. And maybe he was just making it up as he goes....

Haha I dont know, from all he checked thats the only thing he found strange, I'm starting to believe that a negative value is just the standard measure for when the sensor is not present, the strange part is that we gave it a test ride while we had the scanner connected and that reading actually varied from -28% and -31%, so unless is just sensing the air or the electrostatic then I wouldnt know what to think...

The problem is that car loses some of its power in cold starts but specially when driving under 2k revs, there is some type of emptiness when you push the accelerator from ralenti as it doesnt recover immediatly.
Everything else seem to be fine....
Guess I-ll have to go to Germany and give it back...! :P
