Default Best Place/Way to Fix LCD Display

I'm looking for some peoples opinions on what I can do to fix the center LCD display. Is there a common DIY method or a go to place that people perfer? I would be able to send it in if I had to.

I came across this site searching the forums ModuleMaster | Rebuild Info what are your opinions if you have used them?

Can I get a screen from the junkyard or eBay or something and wire it in or something? Not looking to spend 100's on this but I don't want it to look cheap.

You can get an LCD on eBay. But you'd better have much better than average soldering skills. I paid a kid to do mine, he solders PC boards every day. Never could have gotten it myself.

If not, send it to Module Masters.

The most soldering I've done is 2 wires together for something like a radio, boost gauge etc. I wouldn't even consider my skills with that very good.

This is a ribbon cable with small pads, and the cheap eBay ones have crappy little solder pads at that. You need at least moderate heat and short dwell time or you pull the pads right off the ribbon.
