purems has it for 170, but you can get a walbro 255lph from boostfactory for cheaper than that

I know they dont work well in the transverse due to pick up problems, not sure if its the same problem with the longitudes.

Plenty of A4 ownershave been using Walbro fuel pumps installed in the tank for many years. The walbro is a little smaller then the stock so it needs a spacer to go around it so it sits snug. Problem is the walbro is going to flow more fuel so the car is going to run a bit richer since the fuel pressure is going to be slightly higher, this has been documented both a few people which had fuel gauges installed at the fuel rail.

new2me - are you sure its the fuel pump? Does the car start at all or what are the issues you are having?

You guys suck. The best we can do is a 225TT intank and 044 Bosch pump. If we use a walbro intake, we cant run below 1/4 tank.

But Mike, the fuel pressureshouldnt change on a B5 since it has the fpr.

Your right it "shouldn't" but odd thing is that a few people that did swap in a walbro in place of their stock pump did see their fuel pressure bump up slightly. Most people don't no that it happens because most of them don't have a fuel pressure gauge installed into their car.

I think it just has to do with the fact that the walbro moves more fuel which kind overwhelms the FPR causing the pressure to be slightly higher.

Well the reason I have decided that my pumphas taken a turn for the worst is the sound for one. I have replaced the primary O2, MAF, Plugs, Coolant temp sensor, Seafoamed & replaced vac lines. My car is still running lean and now will hardly crawl away from the driveway.

Oh and I replaced the suction pump that Audi has "redesigned" because it failes in cold weather.
