I actually got an unpainted bumper on eBay for about $200 shipped, but the shop that did the paint work recommended repairing the original bumper instead, and they did a fantastic job so I've still got my original bumper on and I sold the other one to oneg.

The reason I'm asking about this is that I'm planning on doing a VRT conversion in the next year or two, and I want to use an RS4 bumper so I have room for the FMIC (not to mention, it'll look cooler than a hacked A4 bumper and be more unique than using an S4 bumper).

Yeah definitely - I don't like those extra lumps at the bottom of the Reiger bumper that are supposed to line up with their crappy-looking side skirts. That Dietrich bumper looks great - and I like that you can use OEM grilles and fogs. Where is a good place to get that?

I called tmtuning and shipping for a front and rear bumper was $450 to California. Would it be half for just 1 bumper?

This is definitely the way to go.

Either this, or just buy an OEM RS4 item, and have the sides heat treated to match the slim-shouldered A4 / S4.

The bummer is, when I was looking to replace my bumper before, I looked at that site but I hadn't ever heard of them before so I decided to just go with an OEM bumper - but the Deitrich caught my eye at the time and I wish I had got it then.

I don't remember how much it cost exactly, but for the plastic welding to repair the damage and the repaint, it was less than $500 at the shop where I went and I was more than satisfied with the work.
