Default Best vacuum hose to use?

I plan on replacing my vacuum lines soon and am just wondering what is better, The factory style braided cloth or the silicon. Also is their a difference between the different colors of silicon vacuum lines or is it just for looks? And just to confirm 3.5x2 is the correct size for the 2.8 correct? Thanx

factory braded because the silicon can get pinched easily

you can also use fuel line as they hardly ever go bad. you might not be able to find some of the smaller sizes though

The dealer parts department sells vacuum hose cheap. There are several different sizes.
