^ that only held up a week....

so i go to the dealer. and have them pull up the vac system. after 45 min of looking the part isnt in their system. and i told them 12 times the EXACT location. so they finially got the part number for the suction pump and got the parts that connect to it... and turns out the little 3" rubber elbow hose is 32$ and needed to be orderd.... so i looked on ECS... i found something that resembled it and it too was 20$ with 17$ shipping. so i said f that and was going to order it at the dealer... that being months ago. i never got around to ordering it. recently i was at the dealer for pwr steering fluid and i asked about the hose, they didnt have it in their system... AGAIN.. so they printed me the diagram and told them to call with the part number... so i dont think my dad ever called being that he kept the paper... today i got bored and decided to fix it myself... so i poped the hood. got a box cutter cut all the tape off and clipped the 1 time clamps... pulling this little bastard off..

so the part number is some what faded.. im just going to bring it to the dealer and be like this is the part and since i have it in my hand they cant tell me its not in the system and idk what im talking about...

so for now. i grabbed a random piece of hose i found in my garage and connected it in its place... and its working 100% perfect..

and thats my story...

oh and if anyone knows the part number please let me know.

why do you need the part number now? just make sure you have more of that hose for when it blows.

make another one, but make it a little smaller, it looks like the air has to travel backwards with the one you made, its more like a 7 shaped than an L like the one you took off. idk if this will affect ANYTHING at all ha, but looks like you made a good fix

Download ETKA, then you have a full parts diagram with part numbers for your car as well as every other Audi/VW
