best way to get ride of spray paint

Default best way to get ride of spray paint

so the last guy that had my car sprayed the rings black on the grill. ive been trying to chip it away with my finger nails but its taing to long and pissing me off. just wondering if you guys new of a better way. paint stripper maybe?

I don't know if you can use paint stripper on it because it might damage the chrome.

I know gasoline gets spray paint off but try to research it (quick google turned up nothing) because I'd worry about the chrome.

Yeah, you should be able to get off some of the spray paint with gasoline.

Gasoline may work but it may eat the chrome or at least soften it. Best option is new rings but I realize you probly can't justify the cost lol.

If paint thinner can't get it off, then just respray it with the chrome spray paint available at most auto parts stores. Do it slow though so it turns out good.
