Your best bet is to just paint them.

 

Yep - I painted my grille rings and love the look. I'm leaving the rear rings alone though - I think black against the silver paint might make it look a little chintzy.

 

I'm thinking of gold plating everything! Then getting gold reflective tint, and slamming my car so low I scrape when I go over the lines in the road!

Anyways, what paint would you recommend. First prime the silver one? I need somoene who has already done this.

 

chill out bosno, check eBay, if there's nothing there then just paint them yourself. It's not rocket science.

 

Yep clean the old rings really well. Then hit them with a couple coats of primer and like 3 coats of black. You can lightly sand them first if you wish but I wouldn't in case you don't like the look you can bring them back to stock.

I'd suggest you sand them first - the chrome is very smooth and it's hard for paint (or primer) to bond to it. Rough it up first, then prime/paint.
