Blown head gasket...need advice making a tough decision.

Not sure what your car is, and I'm too lazy to look it up. But when I buy a car like that and I don't know all that its going to take, I'd figure I had to do a head gasket, shave the head and put a new T-belt on it. That's over $500 in parts and machine shop alone. then I don't want to work for free, plus there are some other ticky tack things that keep it away from the Blue Book condition. So I'm sure it's at least a $2,000 discount off of Blue Book.

Never seen anyone too lazy to read a sig Looks like I'm gonna bite the bullet on this one. Hopefully I can sell it, car is mechanically sound minus the head gasket.

What sucks is that these cars have no resale value. To a dealer you won't get more than $500 to trade it in but private party you should get a little more. KBB I think will quote you around $1500.
