Cool blue plastic bottle

so i was tinkering with the car few days ago and i accidentally disconnected a very small hose from a blue plastic bottle on the drivers side underneath the hood. Bunch of air came out. Will i be ok? will this air/pressure fill up when i start the car up (its currently under maintenance).
thanks in advance

That blue bottle is a vacuum reservoir, what you were hearing was actually air going IN, not out. As long as you reconnect the vac line, when you start the car again that vacuum will build back up and you'll be fine.
