Default boost controller?

hey guys. i just intalled a front mount intercooler last night (gettin ready for that k04) and i knew i would lose a little boost since im still using the stock turbo but when i took it on a test drive it dropped quite a bit.. from spiking under full load at about 7 lbs to spiking at 4 lbs!! i was wondering if i could use a boost controller to turn it up to at least stock boost untill i get chipped? i have a turbo xs mbc already just need to know if thats safe

That would be fine. What size piping and core did you use cause that is a good deal of drop?

i did 2.5 inch piping with a 3" thick 28" long 8" tall intercooler from the outlet on the turbo to the intake manifold

with k03's and k04 setups, 2.25" is probably as big as you want to go on the piping. once you get your k04 in and chip the car you should be boosting pretty good though.

It will work ok until you get chipped.... Only thing is you are constantly running lean or rich.
