Default Boost gauge needle shakes?

Well I have an autometer and it has never done this before. It happens when I am in low rpm (before 2k,) and I accelerate and start to boost, the needle shakes back and forth very fast, causing a "buzz" sound. my question is, is it the boost gauge on its way out or is there something wrong?

That buzz is just turbulance in the hose when building boost. Common in mechanical gauges. You can get a "no buzz" T.

Or you could do like me and use a regular T with JB weld in the outlet side to the boost gauge. When the JB is dry, stick a needle through it to create an ultra small hole. Same thing.

Yes but it is not common when it comes to Autometer gauges since they have a "no buzz" built into the gauge. From what he posted he just started getting this issue with a gauge he has had for some time now, so he might have a leak or there is something blocking his vac line.

I would suggest checking for leaks and then try using another autometer gauge to see if the problem is still there. If the issue still happens with the different autometer gauge, contact Autometer because they will fix it or replace it with a new one and you dont even need to prove you bought it new.
