Default boost issue

ok, so heres my dilemma. i currently have GIAC flash sw for my chip. I installed a boost gauge a few months ago and my vacuum is normal (ranges between 18-20 hg) but my boost isn't strong.

with the n75 i boost between 6-8 psi, with a boost controller opened all the way, i boost between 12-14 psi.

i called the shop i got my sw from and asked for a re-flash. they said i would only need a re-flash if the car wasn't running and they think i have a boost leak instead. i told them the vacuum is fine, but they still don't believe its not the software.

they installed a forge dv with the chip and i don't know what the problem could be besides the sw?

Check the wastegate to see if it came loose somehow the housing for cracks. No extra exhaust noise?

Maybe its your N75, I was having tons of issues.....first they told me boost leak, couldn't find any. Then they told me my turbo was bad....NADA. I was looking at some wiring and noticed some electrical tape and peeled it off and found broken wires. Soldered them up and now i'm holding around 19lbs.

ill check the wires, but if its taken out with a mbc in, would it matter?

I'm not sure, but the n75 Acts as an operator for your wastegate. If its F*ed up then your wastegate might not know how to function right.

If your not using the n75, it being bad wouldnt change anything if your using just a mbc. Also it would throw and code, same as the n249. The n249 is a vac canister that acts like a back up that can also help bleed of psi.

Remove the intake and check the turbo for play and check the wastegate to make sure its tight and there isnt any cracks on the turbo. These just seem more logical if you dont have a boost visable boost leak and vac is normal

ok, ill check on that. i actually bought a k04 from g-popshop and the compressor wheel on the turbo is 3 mm larger then the k04-15.

would it just make sense to wait 2 more days til its here to do the check? im also putting in a high flow manifold from 034 and a samco turbo inlet hose.

Thats what i would do. If that doesnt fix the problem, then you need to do the pressure test like said on vortex. Some leaks arent found until there is pressure in the system.
