Default Boost issues. Need advice

Hey all, just curious to see what every1 thinks. I been boosting 1 psi for the longest time and also had check engine light for camshaft position sensor. Turns out , teeth were off one notch on the timing belt and the wires for the camshaft sensor were loose. mechanic fixed both and the check engine light came off. So today ,i checked the car to see if it fixed my boost problem but it didnt, was still running 1 psi. So when i poped the hood i found the T connection for my boost gauge was all shredded up. SO i installed a new one with rubber hosing and now I am getting 4 psi.

***BUT*** the weird thing is, now im gettin 4 psi and when i hear the turbo spooling , it gives off this crazzzzzy sound. like a ripping sound, kinda sounds cool but i never ever heard it before, WTF. and when i let off the pedal , it does the same thing but louder. WTF is that about?!?!? any1 have any ideas???????

Get yourself a new diverter valve.

For what?

You slapped a band-aid on your car. [[[( :: )]]] It's only a matter for time before you have larger issues... like lean misfires and another MIL.

These cars run more psi with a stock tune than that. Look for a loose boost hose or bad vac line to the DV. Or try a new boost gauge.

i had a big vac leak by my intake manifold... still do, with my tune i should be spiking 18 psi. im only pushing about 12. i need to get that leak fixed.. check around your suction pump make sure all the hoses are connected, i had a hose blow off that and i was only boosting 8psi with a stage 2 tune.
