i did a boost leak test and heard a massive air flow slipping from a hard to reach area, under the small hose for the coolant. ive attached some pics. but its hard to tell what it is exactly, seems plastic to me. if any one knows the name of this part and where i can buy it , let me know thanks!!!!!!

 

its called an S-pipe, or crankcase rebreather tube. yes it is plastic and it does like to break.

ive searched around, but all ive found is the breather hose which i have an extra one. any ideas where i can buy this online or at an auto parts store?

that is the whole assembly, or you can buy individual pieces if you dont need the whole setup.

 

Use rubber hose plus whatever fittings you need. Your local parts store will have that stuff.

 

ordered the part today. anybody changed this part before, if so how much PITA is this to change?

 

how much? a lot. you can do it without removing the intake manifold if you move the coolant tank out of the way and snake your hand in there. its not especially hard, just a huge PITA.

 

thanks ghost youve been a big help with this little problem of mine. hopefully i can change it out on the weekend, damn i have a feeling my hands are gonna get all cut upped and scraped!!!!
